📜Origins and Trivia

🔤
Name origin: Blastoise combines “blast” and “tortoise”. In Japanese, Kamex comes from kame (“turtle”) and “max”. In French, it is called Tortank, a mix of “tortue” (turtle) and “tank”.
🎨
Inspiration: The two water cannons coming out of its shell make it a real battle tank. Its Gigantamax form, introduced in Sword and Shield, looks more like a warship.
💡
