Released on June 24, 2020 on Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android, Pokémon Café Mix, which became Pokémon Café ReMix on October 28, 2021, is a free puzzle game developed by Genius Sonority. You run a café frequented by Pokémon, linking discs to prepare their orders. Cute, accessible and deeper than it looks.

A café for Pokémon

Alongside Lea, the café manager, the player serves the café’s customers: each order is a puzzle. You have to link discs of the same Pokémon in a single swipe to make them disappear, and meet the objectives (score, obstacles such as ingredients) within a limited number of moves. Pokémon you serve gain affinity, then join the staff, each with its own skill. The café grows and new recipes are invented. See getting started.

More strategic than it looks

Choosing the chef, with their skill and obstacle expertise, the Megaphones, skill combinations and the bonus challenge for three stars all call for real thought. Event modes, such as “1 Minute to Cook”, change up the pace. See the game modes.

A tasty free-to-play

Like many mobile games, Café ReMix relies on limited energy (five plays, one recharge every fifteen minutes) and on a currency, golden acorns, which can be purchased. You can progress without paying, but slowly, and events, passes and outfits keep piling up. Since December 13, 2023, there have been no new main orders: the game lives on its events.
