Pokémon Café ReMix is easy to pick up in seconds, but its mechanics reveal themselves as you serve orders. Here are the essentials for getting started, based on Poképédia.

Lea, the café manager.

Linking discs

  • A move begins when you touch a disc and ends when you release it, or when time runs out.
  • As you drag the disc, it links to the identical discs it touches (same Pokémon, same form).
  • Linked discs disappear, earn points and damage any obstacles they touch.
  • Linking fills the chef gauge: when it is full, it grants the chef’s skill, a circle you place and then release. Two combined skills have a boosted effect.
  • Pokémon also drop Megaphones, which clear a line in one direction; combined, they cover several directions.

Serving an order

Each order sets goals, a score, discs of a given Pokémon or obstacles to clear, within a limited number of moves. Once you clear the first screen, a bonus challenge offers two new goals with your remaining moves, so you can aim for three stars. Each star earns 20 golden acorns. Before you start, boosts (Megaphone Plus, Skill Plus) can help; during play, items (Paw, Whistles, Chef’s Bell) are available.

Energy and golden acorns

Each game costs at least one energy. You can hold up to five, and you regain one every fifteen minutes; otherwise, you have to pay golden acorns, from 180 to 900 depending on how much energy you have left. Once a day, a Bonus Time can double the hearts or cookies you earn.

Recruiting and leveling up

Serving a Pokémon earns it hearts; at maximum affinity, it joins your staff. Each Pokémon has a specialty (Drinks, Desserts, Snacks or Mains), a level up to 25, a puzzle score, a skill and obstacle expertise. It improves by serving orders, but mostly through training. See recruitable Pokémon.
