How many Pokémon are there?
201: the Hoenn Pokédex, without Deoxys. See the Pokédex.
Do you need to play both fields?
Yes, to complete the Pokédex: some Pokémon are exclusive to each field.
How do you catch Rayquaza?
It appears in the fifth bonus stage and can only be caught on the second encounter. See Bonus stages.
How do you catch Jirachi?
In the Ruins area, when the Slot triggers its appearance: hit it three times within 30 seconds.
How do you catch Latios and Latias?
They appear with a 1% chance in any area: Latios on Ruby, Latias on Sapphire.
Is there a two-player mode?
No, only the exchange of records and Pokédex data between two consoles.
Can you still play it?
With the Game Boy Advance cartridge. The Wii U version, released in 2014, has not been on sale since 2023.
