Pokémon Duel’s plates play the role of Trainer cards in the TCG: they give one-time effects, such as boosting damage or healing. Each plate has a cost, and a deck’s total cannot exceed 8; each plate can only be used once per game. Here are the first plates, based on Serebii (English names).
| Plate | Rarity | Cost | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Long Throw | EX | 2 | Place a benched Pokémon one square from its entry point; ends your turn |
| Bright Powder | EX | 1 | This turn, the opponent of one of your Pokémon spins their wheel one more time |
| Recycle | EX | 2 | All plates of both players can be used again; ends your turn |
| X Sp. Atk | EX | 1 | Two more stars for one Pokémon, this turn |
| Max Revive | R | 2 | A Pokémon from the PC returns to the bench, without Wait |
| Desperate Times | R | 2 | An attack of 10 to 50 damage deals 50 more, this turn |
| Double Chance | R | 1 | Spin your wheel one more time, this turn |
| Clear Wait | R | 2 | Removes Wait from a Pokémon |
| Focus Band | R | 2 | A Pokémon cannot be knocked out by an attack, this turn |
| Full Heal | R | 1 | Heals all of a Pokémon’s status conditions, except Wait |
| Scoop Up | UC | 1 | One of your Pokémon returns to the bench |
| X Attack | UC | 1 | 30 more damage for one Pokémon, this turn |
