Pokémon Dream Radar is played with the camera on: you look for Dream Clouds around you and shoot them. Here is everything you need to know to make the most of it, based on Poképédia.
The basics
- Turn around with the console to spot Dream Clouds, then shoot them: they release Dream Orbs, an item or a Pokémon.
- To capture a Pokémon, keep it in the beam until the gauge runs out, before the battery is empty.
- The box holds six Pokémon and six items; beyond that, you have to replace a find or release it. Legendaries have their own separate slot.
- The color of the Dream Orb on the counter at the bottom of the screen depends on the orbs you have hit the most, and changes which Pokémon you meet.

The Research Lab
There, you trade your Dream Orbs for inventions. Three permanent upgrades, Beam (more power), Battery (more time) and Cloud Scope (more Dream Clouds), go from level 2 up to the maximum for 100, 500, 1,000 and then 1,500 orbs. Three single-use devices also help: the Lure Filter (100) keeps a Pokémon in the viewfinder, the Slowing Filter (50) slows it down, and the Spare Battery (50) gives back time.
Sending your Pokémon
Captures are sent to Black 2 or White 2, which must be inserted in the console. The Forces of Nature are unique to the version that receives them.
