Since January 2018, Pokémon GO has handed out well over a hundred exclusive moves during its Community Days, its Classics and its December recaps. Every month the same ritual starts again: you evolve the star of the day in the right window, you check the move, and you promise yourself you will get back to that Pokémon “later”. But how many of these moves really change the outcome of a raid or a GO Battle League match?

The question is far from trivial. An Elite Charged TM or an Elite Fast TM remains a scarce resource, and spending it on the wrong Pokémon means wasting weeks of rewards. Between a move that adds a third more damage and one that adds almost nothing, the gap is huge, and it is not obvious in the game.

For this report, the PF editorial team went through the 112 “Pokémon and exclusive move” pairs that can still be used today. We measured, with figures to back it up, what each move brings in raids compared with the best alternative, then noted its place in the PvP rankings of the three leagues. The result: two top 15s, a list of overrated moves and a clear priority order for your Elite TMs.
