The Game's HistoryAn entirely new generation, far from Japan.
Black 2 and White 2The direct sequel, two years later: what changes in Unova. For the first time, a Pokémon region is inspired by a place outside Japan. Castelia City is modeled on Manhattan and its skyscrapers, Skyarrow Bridge recalls the great suspension bridges of the bay, Nimbasa City and its Ferris wheel evoke Coney Island, and Driftveil City the port on the other bank of the Hudson.
★ The complete feature

The first true sequel in the series: Unova two years later, a new Team Plasma and Kyurem at the heart of the story.
The sequel →
Compatible consoles, the end of Wi-Fi and the Dream World, and the journey of your Pokémon all the way to HOME.
The guide →
Diamond, Pearl and Platinum, Gold, Silver and Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald, FireRed and LeafGreen, Red, Blue and Yellow.
Head to Sinnoh →Both tell the same story. Pokémon Black features Reshiram and opens Black City after the League; Pokémon White features Zekrom and opens White Forest, home to Pokémon from other regions. The Opelucid Gym Leader changes (Drayden in Black, Iris in White) and about ten Pokémon are exclusive: Cottonee, Gothita, Vullaby and Tornadus in Black; Petilil, Solosis, Rufflet and Thundurus in White.
156, from Victini (No. 000) to Genesect (No. 155). Throughout the adventure you only encounter Generation V Pokémon: Pokémon from earlier regions only appear in the wild after the League.
The season changes at the start of each month, based on the console's clock: spring in January, May and September; summer in February, June and October; autumn in March, July and November; winter in April, August and December. Seasons change the coats of Deerling and Sawsbuck, some scenery (snow covers northern Unova in winter) and a few wild Pokémon.
The dragon of your version (Reshiram in Black, Zekrom in White) is caught at Lv. 50 in N's Castle, at the end of the story. Kyurem waits after the League at the bottom of Giant Chasm, at Lv. 75, in both versions. The dragon from the other version can only be obtained by trading.
Yes, on Nintendo DS, DSi or 3DS with the original cartridge. The Pokémon Dream World closed in January 2014 and the Wi-Fi service for DS games in May 2014: trades and battles are now local only. Pokémon can reach Pokémon HOME via Poké Transfer, Poké Transporter and Pokémon Bank, provided you have this software installed on a 3DS.
