Pokémon Black 2 and Pokémon White 2 were released on June 23, 2012 in Japan and October 12, 2012 in Europe, on the Nintendo DS. The only true direct sequels in the main series, they take place two years after Black and White: a new hero from Aspertia City, a new Team Plasma led by Ghetsis, and Kyurem, who fuses with Zekrom or Reshiram. With a Pokédex of 301 Pokémon, the Pokémon World Tournament, PokéStar Studios and the series’ first difficulty modes, they are among the most complete games in the franchise.
