RIMOWA: An Unprecedented Collection of Accessories in Pokémon Colors

As part of Pokémon’s worldwide 30th anniversary celebrations, the German luggage maker RIMOWA has just announced an exclusive collaboration for the Japanese market. This capsule collection focuses on high-end personalization, built around the themes of “adventurous spirit” and “meeting friends.”

Available from June 2, 2026, this limited series offers technical, handcrafted accessories designed to fit the brand’s iconic suitcases.

A capsule focused on craftsmanship and design

The collection is made up of three distinct segments, combining the codes of luxury with the aesthetics of the franchise:

• Italian leather charms: Three handcrafted luggage tags depict Pikachu, Charmander and Charizard. Each piece, made of premium leather, features embossed finishes showing the Pokémon interacting with miniature RIMOWA suitcases.

• Exclusive sticker set: A set of stickers featuring the original starters (Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle) as well as Pikachu. The shades used, “Magenta” and “Orange,” come straight from the palette of RIMOWA’s seasonal Essential collection.

  

• Custom wheels: For more structural personalization, a set of wheels comes in the red and white colorway of the Poké Ball. The RIMOWA monogram is applied as a tribute to Cologne, the company’s home city.

  

Sales details and geographic exclusivity

True to its strategy of ultra-exclusive products, RIMOWA has chosen a distribution method restricted to Japan. The launch follows a specific protocol to handle the strong demand expected:

1. In-store sale (lottery): Between 11:00 and 13:00 (JST), six selected Japanese stores (Omotesando, Ginza 7-chome, Nagoya Sakae, Osaka Shinsaibashi, Kobe and Fukuoka) will hold a prize draw for on-site buyers.

2. Online sale: A general release will follow at 16:00 (JST) on the official RIMOWA Japan website.
