After the credits roll in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, Unova still has plenty to offer: new locations, legendary Pokémon, battle facilities, the Pokémon World Tournament with all the series’ Champions, and difficulty modes. Here is everything left to do, in a logical order.

PokéStar Studios in Virbank City, one of the game’s side activities.

The National Pokédex and the Nature Sanctuary

After the League, the National Pokédex unlocks. Once you have seen every Pokémon in the regional Pokédex (excluding Mythical Pokémon), talk to Professor Juniper in Nuvema Town: she gives you a Permit. At the Mistralton Cargo Service, the lady at the counter then takes you to the Nature Sanctuary, a place far from Unova and absent from the map, known for its rare Pokémon and its shiny Haxorus.

Black Tower and White Treehollow

Black City (Black 2) and White Forest (White 2) are home to a battle facility with ten zones: the Black Tower and the White Treehollow. In each zone, you must defeat a guardian before facing the floor’s boss; the trainers’ levels rise as you progress, and your Pokémon gain experience. Access opens after the Hall of Fame, once you meet up again with the person waiting in Floccesy Town. At the end of the facility, the manager gives you a shiny Gible in Black 2, or a shiny Dratini in White 2. Thanks to the Unova Link, a friend with the other version can pass you the key to their zone. See Black City and White Forest.

The Pokémon World Tournament

In Driftveil City, the PWT offers three-round tournaments, in Singles or Doubles, with teams of three Pokémon. The hostess on the right gives access to the special tournaments that bring together the former Gym Leaders and Champions of every previous region: Brock, Misty, Lance, Cynthia and many more. Every victory earns you Battle Points. See The Pokémon World Tournament.

The legendary Pokémon

The postgame unlocks most of the legendary Pokémon: Zekrom or Reshiram at Dragonspiral Tower, Kyurem at Giant Chasm, the Regis at the Underground Ruins, Latios or Latias, Heatran, Cresselia and the Lake Guardians. It’s all on our Legendary Pokémon page.

Cynthia and daily battles

Cynthia, the Sinnoh Champion, stays in Caitlin’s villa in Undella Town. In spring and summer, she can be challenged once a day, with a team at levels 76 to 78 led by her Garchomp. See Cynthia. The Elite Four and Iris can also be fought again, with stronger teams.

The difficulty modes

Black 2 and White 2 are the first games in the series to offer difficulty modes. After beating the League for the first time, Black 2 unlocks Challenge Mode (stronger, smarter trainers) and White 2 unlocks Easy Mode (weaker trainers). The other version’s mode is obtained through the Unova Link. See Easy Mode and Challenge Mode.

PokéStar Studios and Medals

  • PokéStar Studios, in Virbank City, lets you shoot movies by following a script with a Pokémon. Several series of films unlock as you progress. See PokéStar Studios.
  • Medals reward all kinds of feats. The Medal Master, found in every Pokémon Center, hands them out, and your rank goes up at the Castelia City office. See Medals.

The Hidden Grottoes

Scattered across Unova, the Hidden Grottoes give access to items and to Pokémon with their Hidden Abilities, many of which had been impossible to find until then. See The Hidden Grottoes.
