Pokémon Pinball mini is a pinball game developed by Jupiter Corporation, released in Europe on March 15, 2002. There is no conventional table here: each level fits on one or two screens, and a Pokémon sends the Poké Ball back, in place of flippers.
How it works
The main mode, the Quest, has 70 levels, which unlock one after another. Each one is timed: you have to send the ball into the right target, or catch a Pokémon, before time runs out. The C button activates the launcher Pokémon, and you can charge your hit for a faster ball. Rocks to break, bounces and troublesome Pokémon, like Ditto, are scattered across the levels. Completing the Quest unlocks a new title screen.
The launcher Pokémon
You start with Diglett, and other Pokémon unlock every ten levels of the Quest, each with its own way of hitting.
| Pokémon | Unlock | Special feature |
|---|---|---|
| Diglett | From the start | No special effect |
| Pikachu | Level 10 | Its own hitting trajectory |
| Clefairy | Level 20 or 30, depending on the source | Can steer the ball with the directional pad |
| Wobbuffet | Level 20 or 30, depending on the source | Hits farther than the others |
| Poliwag | Level 40 | The quickest |
