Pokémon Quest is easy to pick up in just a few minutes, but a few habits will save you a lot of time: managing your battery well, cooking non-stop and taking care of your Power Stones. Here are our tips for a good start on Tumblecube Island.

Tumblecube Island and its twelve worlds.

The menu at a glance

  • Team, bottom center: choose your three Pokémon and manage their Power Trays.
  • Base or Quest, bottom right: switch between the base and expeditions.
  • The drone’s battery, top right: each expedition uses one charge. When it is empty, you cannot set out.
  • The Shop, next to it: spend your PM Tickets and collect the daily tickets.
  • The Item Detector, top left: it fills up as you complete quests and guarantees a gold Power Stone when it is full.
  • Objectives and Pokédex, bottom left, along with the options.

Expeditions

In an expedition, your team of three Pokémon faces several waves of enemies, with a boss at the end. Your Pokémon move and attack on their own; it is up to you to trigger their moves by tapping their icon once they have recharged. Auto mode does everything for you, but triggering moves at the right moment is still more effective.

Managing the battery

The battery recharges over time and through certain objectives. Rather than waiting in front of the screen, come back regularly: a few expeditions per session are enough. Paid packs and some decorations increase its maximum capacity.

Cook non-stop

Always start a dish before heading out on an expedition: cooking progresses with every quest. Start with Mulligan Stew à la Cube, which accepts any ingredient, then aim for specific recipes for the types you are missing. See Cooking and recipes.

Powering up your Pokémon

  • Place Power Stones as soon as possible: they matter more than level. See Power Stones.
  • Use training: the Pokémon that levels up can absorb other Pokémon through level training, and move training teaches it another move.
  • Evolve your Pokémon: evolution boosts their power significantly.
  • Aim for each world’s bonus type: Pokémon of that type have an advantage there.

PM Tickets

PM Tickets are the game’s currency. Collect the free tickets from the Shop every day, and spend them first on expanding the Pokémon Box and the Power Stone Box, or on decorations that increase ingredient harvests. See Shop and purchases.
