In addition to the adventure on the islands, Pokémon Rumble Rush offered tournaments against Super Bosses and a Battle Royale against other players’ teams. Here is how these modes worked.

Tournaments

Tournaments chained together several Super Bosses against the clock. Each victory advanced you to the next round and earned a reward; you only got one attempt per day. With update 1.2.0, they became a “coin race”, with CP tiers from 300 to 9,500 and rewards from 500 to 350,000 coins.

Battle Royale

A series classic made a comeback: you faced three other players, which were actually other players’ teams controlled by the computer. You got three free games per day, then 100 Poké Diamonds per game. The levels ran from Poké Ball to Master Ball, with ever higher points for each win, for participating and for each KO.

Themed cups accompanied events and boosted certain types. Points could be exchanged in a shop for upgrade kits and Poké Glam, decorations for your Pokémon.

Player ranks

By catching Pokémon, the player earned experience and rose in rank. Each rank increased the space available for storing Pokémon, gears and Summon Gears.
