The most imposing Pokémon of Galar is getting ready to take over the Power Spots again. Niantic has unveiled Dynamax Trails, the Pokémon GO event scheduled from Monday, November 16 at 10 a.m. to Monday, November 23, 2026 at 8 p.m. local time. The highlight: the return of
Eternatus in its Eternamax form in Max Battles on Saturday, November 21 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a dedicated GO Pass to take advantage of it.
Eternamax Eternatus returns on November 21
The Poison- and Dragon-type Legendary, which first appeared in Pokémon GO in summer 2025, is back for a three-hour window. During that time, Eternamax Eternatus takes over most Power Spots. Be careful: it cannot be caught at the end of these battles. Instead, the GO Pass offers an encounter with Eternatus, which can be caught only once. Trainers who already have it in their collection will receive 100 Eternatus Candy instead.
Saturday, November 21 also brings together the best bonuses of the week:
- Power Spots refresh more often;
- Max Particles multiplied by 8 at Power Spots;
- Max Particles collection cap raised to 2,400;
- up to 30 Remote Raids per day instead of 10, from Friday, November 20 at 10 p.m. to Sunday, November 22 at 3 a.m. (Paris time).

A week of Max Battles
Throughout the event, almost all the Dynamax Pokémon already released in the game return in Max Battles, with the exception of Legendary and Mythical Pokémon. Those that debuted in Max Battles can also appear in the wild. Catching them earns Max Particles, as do Max Battles themselves (except when using the Adventure Sync or Pokémon GO Plus +). More Power Spots will be active, and Pokémon caught in Max Battles will have a chance to show a Special Background indicating their catch date.
On Thursday, November 19, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., a Spotlight Hour showcases the three Galar starters:
Grookey,
Scorbunny and
Sobble, with double catch Candy and a chance to meet their Shiny versions. Field Research tasks rewarding Stardust and Eternatus Candy round out the program.
The GO Pass: Dynamax Trails, free or Deluxe
The free GO Pass is granted automatically on November 16. Its Deluxe version costs US$4.99 (the price varies by region) and lets you progress faster. Good news: trainers who claimed the first rewards of the GO Pass: Into the Wild receive the Deluxe version for free, with early access from Saturday, November 14 at 10 a.m.
- Free: encounters with Dynamax Pokémon with a Special Background, Eternatus (or 100 Candy), Eternatus Candy and Candy XL, Rare Candy, Stardust, stickers;
- Deluxe: more Eternatus Candy and Candy XL, Silver Pinap Berries, Rare Candy XL and extra stickers;
- Rank 15: double Stardust for catching;
- Rank 35: Candy and Stardust cost halved for the Dynamax Cannon Adventure Effect;
- Rank 55: more Candy and Candy XL from Max Battles;
- Web Store: the Deluxe Pass bought on the official site comes with 10 Ultra Balls, 5 Max Revives, 1 Premium Battle Pass and 5 Max Potions.
- Pass rewards expire on Wednesday, November 25 at 8 p.m.
Key takeaways
Dynamax Trails extends a very busy November for Dynamax content, right after the Pokémon GO Wild Area on November 14 and 15. Evolving Eternatus will take a lot of Candy: the GO Pass, especially the Deluxe version, will be the best way to stock up. To prepare your teams, our ranking of the Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon to power up is still relevant.
