The game
Is Pokémon Rumble World free?
The eShop version was, with Poké Diamonds available for purchase. The boxed version is paid, but includes all the paid perks from the start.
Can it still be downloaded?
No: the 3DS Nintendo eShop closed in March 2023. Only the boxed version lets you discover it today.
How many Pokémon can you collect?
719: every Pokémon from the first six generations, except Hoopa and Volcanion.
How many destinations are there?
Nineteen, including Luck Land, added in August 2015. See Destinations.
Playing
How do you catch a Pokémon for sure?
Knock it out while it is dazed, meaning frozen and trembling. See Game mechanics.
How do you Mega Evolve?
Unlock the Jeweler (the “The Conqueror’s Attack” mission or rank 33), buy the Pokémon’s stone, then activate Mega Evolution on the touch screen during a battle.
What is a trait?
A special power a Pokémon can have when you catch it. It cannot be changed.
Why can’t I set off in a balloon?
Either it is being repaired, or your Pokémon House is full: release a few Pokémon.
What should I do with a rusty Pokémon?
Clean it at the Rust Remover: while rusty, it can only use Struggle.
Diamonds and codes
How do you earn Poké Diamonds without paying?
Through special battle objectives, StreetPass and SpotPass, and passwords. See Poké Diamonds.
What is the Poké Diamond Drill?
A building that produces 40 diamonds per day, given after you buy 3,000 diamonds, or from the start in the boxed version.
Where can you find passwords?
On our Passwords page, which lists those distributed in 2015.
What are titles for?
They are the game’s achievements. You can display one next to your Mii, visible to players you meet through StreetPass or SpotPass.
