Between trips, your Mii returns to its town in the Toy Kingdom. At first it has three buildings; more are built as the adventure goes on. Here is each one and what it does.
The buildings
| Building | Role | Unlock |
|---|---|---|
| Castle | The king offers the special battles here and keeps count of your Pokémon | From the start |
| Shop | Balloons, items, clothing, backgrounds and frames for your Mii, daily deal, rewards | From the start |
| Balloon Station | The departure point for trips to the destinations | From the start |
| Move School | Learn moves for in-game money or Poké Diamonds, depending on their number of stars; swap the A and B moves for free | “Mayhem in the Gardens” mission |
| Jeweler | Buy a Mega Stone (or the Blue Orb and Red Orb) for a Pokémon you own, 5 Poké Diamonds; the first one is free | “The Conqueror’s Attack” mission or rank 33 |
| Rust Remover | Clean rusty toys, which can only use Struggle; the first cleaning is free, then 1 Poké Diamond | Mission reward |
| Poké Diamond Drill | Produces 40 Poké Diamonds per day (20 before update 1.1) | After buying the 3,000 Poké Diamonds from the shop |
The visitors
Some of your Pokémon wander around town, along with the Miis you meet through StreetPass or SpotPass. These visitors give you Poké Diamonds or offer to take you to a place you’ve already visited, in exchange for in-game money or diamonds. See Poké Diamonds.
The Pokémon House
Your Pokémon are kept in your Pokémon House, which has a limited capacity. If your team exceeds it, you can no longer set off on a trip: you first have to release some Pokémon to make room. Our period article The shop presents the possible purchases.
