Just starting Pokémon Rumble World? The game is simple, but a few habits will save you a lot of time and Poké Diamonds. Here is what you need for your first few hours.
First steps
- The tutorial, at the royal training field, introduces the controls and combat.
- Bud Plain, Ocean Cove and Blaze Mountain are the first destinations, available with no minimum rank.
- The castle offers the first mission, “The Wizard’s Challenge”.
- Passwords unlock at adventurer rank 4.
Our period article Tutorial: the training field covers these early steps in detail.
Fighting well
- Pick the most powerful Pokémon for each level: power matters more than type.
- Daze rare Pokémon: a Pokémon that freezes and trembles will join you for sure if you knock it out at that moment.
- Look out for traits: a golden circle on the ground marks a Pokémon with a special power.
- Use Mega Evolution as soon as you have unlocked the Jeweler.
See Game mechanics.
Managing your Poké Diamonds
- Balloons come first: they are what open up new destinations and new Pokémon.
- Avoid paying for repairs if you’re in no hurry: with several balloons you can take turns while the others are repaired.
- Complete the special battle objectives, which award diamonds the first time.
- Take advantage of StreetPass and SpotPass, which reward visits with diamonds.
See Poké Diamonds.
Growing your collection
- Climb in rank to unlock far-off destinations, up to rank 50 for Mythical Land.
- The Luck Balloon, offered since update 1.1, leads to Pokémon you don’t have yet.
- Release duplicate or weak Pokémon: your Pokémon House has a limited capacity, and you can’t set off if it is full.
