The
Eevee family is about to be complete in Pokémon UNITE. Announced in August at the Pokémon World Championships in San Francisco,
Jolteon and
Flareon will join the battlefield on Tuesday, October 13 at 9 a.m. Paris time. The same day, an Eevee-themed event kicks off, with a battle mode reserved for its evolutions.
Jolteon, a Speedster that strikes and slips away
Jolteon arrives as a Speedster. According to the official presentation, it relies on its great mobility to harass its opponents. Once it has dealt enough damage, it can unleash a powerful short-range electric discharge to KO the enemy, then leave the fight as quickly as it entered. A profile tailor-made for players who enjoy quick eliminations and smooth getaways.
Flareon, an All-Rounder that turns up the heat
Flareon, for its part, is an All-Rounder and prefers close-quarters combat. Its special feature: its body temperature rises as it uses its moves, and the heat it gives off continuously damages the opponents around it. A Pokémon that is therefore best off staying in the thick of the fray.
With these two arrivals, all eight Eevee evolutions will be playable: Jolteon and Flareon join
Vaporeon,
Espeon,
Umbreon,
Leafeon,
Glaceon and
Sylveon, who are already in the game.
An Eevee Festival until December 1
To celebrate, the official website announces an “Eevee Festival” starting October 13. Its highlight: a special Quick Battle in which you can only play Eevee and its evolutions. If all five members of a team each pick a different evolution, a brand-new visual effect is triggered. A great opportunity to team up with friends.
