The main story of Pokémon Conquest is about unifying the 17 kingdoms of Ransei, from Aurora to Dragnor, Nobunaga’s kingdom. Here is how it unfolds and the order of the conquests, based on Poképédia and Serebii. The details of each kingdom are on our kingdom pages.
1. Aurora and the south
The hero has just been proclaimed lord of Aurora when Koroku and Nagayasu, from Ignis, attack. With Oichi’s help, he drives them back. Oichi explains that all the kingdoms are at war to fulfill the legend. Next you must conquer Ignis, Hideyoshi’s Fire kingdom, with its flame traps and hot springs, then Greenleaf (Motonari) and Fontaine (Motochika), whose river can be crossed by operating two dams.
2. The center
Oichi reveals that Nobunaga, master of the north, is the real threat. Next come Violight (Ginchiyo), with its electrified pits and switches that zap Pokémon of one color, Chrysalia (Yoshimoto), with its hidden traps, and Pugilis (Yoshihiro), where you must capture four flags on a ring you can be knocked out of.
3. Illusio and Terrera
After Pugilis, Illusio (Kenshin) and Terrera (Shingen) appear. Illusio first attacks one of your kingdoms, then fights on moving platforms and black holes. Defeating one of the two is often enough to get both: Shingen and Kenshin then join your army. During the celebration held in their honor, Nobunaga appears: he now controls Avia, Cragspur, Yaksha, Viperia, Valora, Nixtorm and Spectra.
4. Nobunaga’s north
| Kingdom | Warlord | The battle |
|---|---|---|
| Cragspur | Ujiyasu | At the foot of a mountain, under the boulders the opponents send rolling down |
| Viperia | Nene | In a building covered in poison and trapdoors |
| Yaksha | Kotaro | A field cut by rivers; each turn, a random Pokémon is swept away |
| Avia | Masamune | Platforms and springboards, with a bridge that opens at random |
| Valora | Ieyasu | Gates to open by placing Pokémon on gears |
| Spectra | Nō | Trees to cut down, moving statues and flames that inflict status conditions |
| Nixtorm | Mitsuhide | A frozen lake where you slide, with ice that gives way |
5. Dragnor and the Infinity Tower
In Dragnor, Ranmaru, Nobunaga’s servant, begs Oichi not to oppose his older brother. Nobunaga, allied with Zekrom, challenges Oichi and the hero. After his defeat, the Infinity Tower appears, and Arceus with it. The hero forms a Link with Arceus, but must face Nobunaga one last time, now partnered with a Shiny Rayquaza, along with Mitsuhide, Nō, Ieyasu, Ranmaru and Hideyoshi. Once defeated, Nobunaga reveals his true intentions: to bring peace to Ransei through Arceus’s power.
The rest is played in the episodes.
