The game
Do you need a Transfer Pak?
No, but it lets you use your Game Boy Pokémon, My Room, the lab, the Mystery Gift and the Game Boy Tower. It is sold separately.
Which Game Boy games are compatible?
Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver and Crystal.
How many players?
Up to four, notably for the mini-games. See Mini-games.
Playing
How do you unlock Round 2?
By winning every cup and the Gym Leader Castle, then beating the rival. See Rival and rewards.
How do you get the Farfetch’d that knows Baton Pass?
By beating the rival in Round 1 with a Game Boy cartridge in the Transfer Pak.
How do you relearn a move?
By beating the Elite Four and the Castle Champion using only your own Pokémon, with no rentals.
How do you play Game Boy games faster?
With the Game Boy Tower’s Doduo and Dodrio modes, unlocked by winning the cups or the Castle.
