Join us on Saturday, October 10 for October’s Community Day in Pokémon GO. The featured Pokémon will be 
Zorua, the little Unova fox and master of illusions. From 2 PM to 5 PM local time, it will appear in large numbers in the wild, with an exclusive attack for its evolution and the chance to run into its shiny form. Here is everything you need to know to prepare for the day.
Zorua everywhere, Zoroark with Sucker Punch
During the three hours of the event, Zorua will be far more common in the wild. With a bit of luck, some will be shiny or have a Special Background: since January 2026, the featured Pokémon of every Community Day can carry the Special Background of the current year.
The highlight remains the exclusive attack. Any Zorua you evolve during the event, or within the four hours after it (so until 9 PM), will become a 
Zoroark that knows the Fast Attack Sucker Punch. The evolution costs 50 Zorua Candy, so the day’s double Candy comes in handy.
The day’s bonuses
From 2 PM to 5 PM, local time:
- Triple XP for every catch
- Double Candy for every catch
- Twice the chance of getting XL Candy when catching, from level 31
- Incense activated during the event lasts 3 hours (excluding Daily Adventure Incense)
- A surprise when taking photos
Some bonuses last longer, from 2 PM to 9 PM:
- Lure Modules active for 1 hour, which can attract Zorua
- One extra Special Trade, for a maximum of two during the day
- Half-price Trades in Stardust
The Lure Module bonus deserves a closer look: until 9 PM, a standard Lure Module placed on a PokéStop will make Zorua appear much more often, with better odds of a shiny or a Special Background. A good solution if you can’t play in the afternoon. Event-themed Field Research tasks will also reward Stardust, Ultra Balls and extra Zorua encounters.
Special Research and Ultra Box
As every month, a paid Special Research is offered for US$1.99 (or the equivalent in euros, shown in the in-game shop). It includes neither a medal nor a storyline. The announced rewards:
- 3 encounters with Zorua that have a Special Background
- Additional Zorua encounters
- 1 Premium Battle Pass
- 1 Rare Candy XL
- And other surprises
The ticket can be gifted to a friend from the in-game shop with the “Gift” button. The Pokémon GO web store will also offer a Community Day Ultra Box, again at US$1.99, containing the ticket and five Ultra Balls. Finally, events organized by Community Ambassadors will give access to a Timed Research with extra encounters and premium rewards.
