There are moments when adventure takes on a new dimension. As we roam the streets of Lumiose City in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, the idea of finally being able to link our exploits to our global collection in Pokémon HOME has become a concrete reality. Since April 2, 2026, a major update has opened the doors to a long-awaited transfer, changing the way we approach this iconic city.
Expanded Connectivity for Your Companions
The introduction of connectivity between Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Pokémon HOME now lets you transfer Pokémon from your teams to the storage service and, conversely, bring certain Pokémon from previous titles into the adventure. It is essential to note, however, that this freedom comes with strict rules: Pokémon transferred from Pokémon Legends: Z-A can no longer return to older main series games.

Mystery Gifts for Trainers
To celebrate this integration, a special reward awaits players. By depositing a Pokémon caught in Pokémon Legends: Z-A into the Nintendo Switch version of Pokémon HOME for the first time, you will receive an alpha Chikorita, Tepig and Totodile. These gifts can be collected via the mobile version of Pokémon HOME.
-
Exclusive link via the Nintendo Switch version of Pokémon HOME.
-
The Switch and mobile versions must be linked to receive the gifts.
-
Imported Pokémon must be compatible with the Lumiose regional Pokédex.
New Horizons with Pokémon Champions
The adventure does not stop at the borders of Kalos. Thanks to Pokémon Champions, you can send certain Pokémon you met in Pokémon Legends: Z-A to take part in intense battles. By sending Chesnaught, Delphox, Greninja or even Eternal Flower Floette, you will unlock exclusive Mega Stones such as Chesnaughtite or Greninjite.
Being able to meet our long-time partners again in a variety of settings greatly enriches our Trainer experience and strengthens the emotional bond with our teams.
Things to Watch Out for with Your Transfers
Before starting your transfers, keep in mind that compatibility is limited to Pokémon in the Lumiose Pokédex. Moreover, any Pokémon brought into Pokémon Legends: Z-A from a previous game will lose its ability to return to its original title. This strict management ensures the balance of the ecosystem within your adventure.
