A year after the Deluxe Pack: ex, Pokémon TCG Pocket is doing it again with a new special booster: the Deluxe Pack: Mega, shown in the game as the Mega Deluxe Booster. It has been available since the evening of September 30 (US time) for a limited time only: until October 29, 2026. If you missed some Series B cards, now is your chance to catch up.

The official trailer for the Mega Deluxe Booster.

The best of Series B in a single booster

The Deluxe Pack: Mega gathers cards that have already been released, from the Mega Rising boosters through Ruler of the Skies. Above all, it includes every ♦♦♦♦ rarity card released in those boosters. According to Serebii, the set contains 429 cards (402 regular and 27 secret) and closes out the app’s Series B.

As for the contents, each booster holds four cards, including one guaranteed ♦♦♦♦ card or higher. In other words, every opening gives you at least one Pokémon ex. Collectors will also find cards with new artwork and parallel and metallic shiny patterns.

Naturally, the series’ Mega Evolved Pokémon are all here: Mega Charizard X and Y, Mega Venusaur, Mega Blastoise, Mega Gengar, Mega Gardevoir, Mega Absol and Mega Metagross, alongside Koraidon ex, Miraidon ex and Rayquaza ex. For the occasion, Mega Charizard X covers and backgrounds are also on offer.

A packed month of events in October

The booster comes with a series of events through the end of the month:

  • Parallel shiny card mass outbreak (late September to early October): these cards show up in rare picks and bonus picks, and missions let you earn shop tickets.
  • B4b SP ranked match season (mid-October to late October): bonus points for win streaks, up to 10 consecutive wins, and no point loss when you lose.
  • Mega Garchomp ex drop event (mid-October to late October): special solo battles to earn Series B Promo Boosters, Vol. 13.
  • Wonder Pick event (second half of October): Charmander and Drampa promo cards, and an event shop ticket to exchange for a promo card.

Community decks and dual-type cards on the way

An update planned for late October will also change quite a lot. It adds a community decks feature to browse decks that other players have made public and recreate them with your own cards. Rental decks, built from the latest boosters’ cards, become usable as often as you like. The tiered difficulty battles will be reworked, and a few features will be removed.

Looking ahead, The Pokémon Company confirmed at the World Championships that dual-type Pokémon are coming to Pocket starting in October. Their cards can be recognized by their two colors, and they will make it possible to target two Weaknesses at once. Mega Mewtwo X ex (Psychic and Fighting) is the first example.

Between the end of Series B and the arrival of dual types, Pocket is entering a new stage. Remember to open your boosters before October 29! As a reminder, the app’s last big addition was Paradox Drive.
