Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl bring together the Legendary Pokémon of Sinnoh, those of the three previous regions, gathered at Ramanas Park, and several Mythical Pokémon obtained through save data from other games or distributions. This page sums up where and how to get each one, with links to our detailed guides.

Dialga and Palkia
The Legendary of your version awaits you at Spear Pillar, at the top of Mt. Coronet, at the end of the Team Galactic storyline. It’s a scripted battle, but the Legendary can be captured. Save right before it and bring what you need to weaken it without knocking it out.
The lake guardians
After Dialga or Palkia, the three guardians return to their lakes. Uxie waits in Acuity Cavern and Azelf in Valor Cavern, both reachable by surfing. Mesprit flees right after the first encounter at Lake Verity and then roams the region: the Marking Map on the Pokétch helps you locate it.
Heatran, Regigigas and Giratina
These three Legendaries require the National Pokédex, given at Professor Rowan’s lab in Sandgem Town once you have seen every species of the Sinnoh Pokédex. Heatran, at level 70, is found deep in Stark Mountain, on Route 227 in the Battle Zone; if it is knocked out, it comes back after another victory at the Pokémon League. Regigigas only wakes up at Snowpoint Temple if Regirock, Regice and Registeel are on your team. Giratina waits at the end of Turnback Cave, a maze of rooms and pillars where you have to find the right path.
Cresselia
In Canalave City, a child has nightmares. To cure them, you need the Lunar Feather, found on Fullmoon Island after spotting Cresselia. The Pokémon then flees and roams Sinnoh: you have to track it down until you can battle it.
Legendaries from other regions
The Legendaries of Kanto, Johto and Hoenn are captured at Ramanas Park, with slates obtained in exchange for Strange Souvenirs. All are level 70.

|---|---|---|
| Raikou, Entei, Suicune Ho-Oh | Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres Lugia | Regirock, Regice, Registeel Latias, Latios Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza Mewtwo |
