Liko and Roy are not done traveling. On October 6, 2026, The Pokémon Company International made the fourth season of Pokémon Horizons official, under the title Pokémon Horizons: Season 4 – Wonders Ahead. The first part will arrive on Netflix on Saturday, February 27, 2027, Pokémon Day, with two new faces on board: a young girl named Navie and a Ditto stowaway.

The official Season 4 trailer, in English.

A Season Focused on Discovery

After three seasons of chasing the Explorers, the tone changes. According to the official synopsis, Liko, Roy and the rest of the Rising Volt Tackle crew head out to explore the world of Pokémon with fresh eyes, now that the threat hanging over it has been removed. The Captain Pikachu and the Brave Olivine are therefore back on the road, and the adventure promises to be lighter and more focused on encounters.

The Pokémon Company promises encounters with unusual Pokémon, the discovery of sleep styles and even a race alongside Legendary Pokémon, without specifying which ones. The trailer sets the tone, with a Pokémon surfing on a tree trunk and scenes of life aboard the airship.

Two recruits make their entrance. Navie, presented as a spirited young girl, comes from Lumiose City, the big city of the Kalos region. She crosses paths with a Ditto that has slipped aboard an airship. This Pokémon, which can take on the appearance of any other, should bring a good dose of unpredictability to the group.

Ult, the young Trainer Roy met in Kalos during Season 3, is still part of the gang, alongside Dot. Fans who follow the games will notice the nod: Lumiose City is also the setting of Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

Already Airing in Japan Since May

These episodes do not come out of nowhere. In Japan, they correspond to the Wonder Voyage arc, which has aired on TV Tokyo since May 22, 2026, on Fridays at 6:55 p.m. This arc gives pride of place to the franchise’s other games, with nods to Pokémon GO, Pokémon UNITE and Pokémon Sleep, hence the mention of sleep styles in the official synopsis.

For impatient fans, the schedule is therefore known: the episodes already exist, and it is their dubbed version that will arrive in February. In Japan, the new numbering resumes from the series’ 137th episode.

And in France?

For now, no date has been announced for France, and the French title of the season is not yet known. In France, the series airs on Gulli and on the M6+ platform. Season 3, known in French as Wings of Hope, has just wrapped up, with a final episode on October 4, 2026. A French broadcast on the heels of the US announcement would be logical, but nothing is confirmed.

  • Season 4: Wonders Ahead (English title), first part
  • Release: Saturday, February 27, 2027 on Netflix, in the United States and other countries
  • New characters: Navie and a stowaway Ditto
  • France: date and title to be confirmed, the series currently airs on Gulli and M6+

Key takeaways

The fourth season of Pokémon Horizons closes the Explorers chapter to open the one of travel and discovery. With Navie, a prankster Ditto and Legendary Pokémon on the horizon, the post-Ash series keeps expanding its universe. The original heroes, like Liko’s Sprigatito, Roy’s Fuecoco and Dot’s Quaxly de Dot, have grown up a lot since 2023. See you on February 27, 2027 for what comes next, hoping for a French announcement by then.
