The game
Is Magikarp Jump free?
Yes, with diamonds available for purchase. You can finish it without paying. See Shop and diamonds.
Is the game still available?
It is still listed on iOS and Android in many countries, but has not received an update since October 2022.
How many leagues are there?
Ten, from the Friend League to the Master League. See leagues 1 to 5 and leagues 6 to 10.
What happens after the Master League?
It repeats, and a level 100 Magikarp can gain HP without limit. What remains is the pattern collection and the achievements.
Raising your Magikarp
How do I make my Magikarp jump higher?
By increasing its HP: food, training, friendship items and decorations. See Training and food.
Why did my Magikarp leave?
It retires after a league defeat, after finishing a league, or following certain events: carried off by a Pidgeotto, evolved into a Gyarados or hit by a Voltorb. See Events.
How long does it take for training to recharge?
One training point every thirty minutes, three at most. A Sports Soda restores one.
Can my Magikarp evolve into Gyarados?
Yes, through a random event, but it ends its career as a jumper.
What is Trainer Rank for?
It raises the maximum level of the Magikarp you catch and unlocks food and training. Each rank also earns 10 diamonds.

How many patterns are there?
Thirty-two numbered patterns and a golden Magikarp, No. 99. See Patterns and achievements.
How do I get the golden Magikarp?
By luck, while fishing: it is very rare, but it can appear with any rod.
When is the pattern revealed?
When the Magikarp goes above 70% of its maximum level. The pattern is then archived and earns 10 diamonds if it is new.
What do friendship items do?
They call support Pokémon that give HP, coins or items. See Friendship items.
