Friendship items let you call Support Pokémon into your Magikarp’s pond. Each one gives a bonus, HP, coins or an item, then has to recharge. Some are earned by beating leagues, others are bought with diamonds. Here is the complete list.

Snorlax takes a nap: Pokémon also show up in events.

How they work

  • Once you have the item, tap it to call the Pokémon, which gives its bonus.
  • You then have to wait for the cooldown to end before calling it again.
  • Most can be ranked up with Poké Candy, which boosts their effect.
  • In a league, every Support Pokémon that is not Water type can step in to give a 5% or 25% HP bonus.

Which ones to pick

  • Light Ball (Pikachu), awarded by the Friend League, is the first and one of the most useful: a steady HP bonus.
  • Items that give coins speed up upgrades to food and training.
  • Poké Candy is rare: save it for the items you use the most.
