In Pokémon Picross, Mythical Pokémon are not obtained like the others. From time to time, Professor Tetra announces that one of them is passing through a area: you then have a limited time, often one hour, to solve its 20-by-15 puzzle. Here is how it works and where to find them.
The mechanism
- When the game starts or at the end of a puzzle, Professor Tetra may announce the appearance of a Mythical Pokémon.
- If the area is accessible to you, you can take up the challenge.
- Appearances follow an interval specific to each Pokémon, which restarts after its capture or disappearance.
- Changing the console’s clock reduces their frequency; completing the alternate mode removes the interval.
- Once caught, the Mythical Pokémon remains permanently available, so you can complete its objectives.
