In Pokémon Battle Trozei, many Pokémon have a special ability that activates when you line them up. It depends on the species and cannot be changed. Choosing your allies well based on their ability and type makes all the difference.
The eight abilities
| Ability | Effect |
|---|---|
| Transform | Replaces any Pokémon in a line, like a wild card. This is Ditto‘s ability. |
| Restoration | Refills part of the energy gauge. |
| Attack Stop | Briefly stops the wild Pokémon from acting. |
| Power of 5 | Increases the damage of a line of five Pokémon. |
| Power of 6 | Increases the damage of a line of six Pokémon. |
| Builder | Repairs the grid walls damaged by enemy attacks. |
| Determination | Increases damage when energy is at half or lower. |
| Assault | Deals normal damage even to types that resist. |
Choosing your allies well
- Type first. An ally that is super effective against the level’s Pokémon speeds up the catch, and some species only appear after a super effective attack.
- A healer with Restoration, or a Chansey, for long levels.
- Attack Stop against Pokémon that attack often.
- Power of 5 and Power of 6 for players who can set up long lines, like the final Kalos starters in Tyrant Meadow.
- Required allies. Some Pokémon only show up if a specific ally is on your team: Dedenne with Pikachu, Sylveon with Eevee, Mewtwo with Mew, or legendary Pokémon with their companions. See the zone tables.
