The Explorers of Sky credits are far from the end of the game. The story continues with the guild graduation, new dungeons, the mystery of the nightmares and one final opponent. Then a huge post-game opens up: legendary Pokémon, the Seven Treasures, Sky Peak and Destiny Tower. This page takes you through it all; it reveals elements of the ending.
The rest of the story
Graduating from the guild
After the credits, the hero and the partner go back to their lives as apprentices, until they earn their diploma from Wigglytuff’s Guild. Once they have graduated, you can change leader before entering a dungeon: Chimecho announces it at the crossroads.
Scizor and the Secret rank
Beyond Blizzard Island, Crevice Cave leads to a Scizor trapped in ice. Once rescued, it reveals that it is an honorary member of the Exploration Team Federation and grants you the Secret rank. This rank lets you accept special missions linked to the Seven Treasures. See Ranks.
The nightmares, Palkia and Darkrai
Young Azurill is plagued by nightmares, and Cresselia warns of a distortion in space. Palkia abducts the duo and takes them to the Spatial Rift, a 15-floor dungeon followed by 9 floors of depths. At the bottom, an impostor is unmasked: Darkrai, responsible for the nightmares and for the destruction of Temporal Tower. He arranges to meet the duo at Dark Crater.
- Spatial Rift: Palkia, a Water and Dragon type, is weak only to Dragon moves.
- Dark Crater: 15 floors, then 14 floors of depths. Darkrai, a Dark type, is weak to Fighting and Bug moves.
After the victory, the duo discovers Darkrai’s part in the hero’s accident, then returns to Treasure Town as heroes. Cresselia can then be recruited by talking to her at Sharpedo Bluff.
Evolution of the hero and the partner
Throughout the story, and even after the victory over Darkrai, the hero and the partner cannot evolve. This possibility only opens up afterwards, in the post-game. In Time and Darkness, you also had to have recruited Palkia; Sky removes that condition.
The new locations in Sky
Shaymin Village and Sky Peak
Two days after graduation, a conversation at Spinda’s Café reveals that a path has opened up to Sky Peak, a mountain that rises above the clouds. At its foot lies Shaymin Village.
- A Shaymin guides you during the ascent, which is punctuated by rest points.
- In the village, another Shaymin gives you a Gracidea on each visit: it lets Shaymin take its Sky Forme in dungeons.
- The Drifblim Shuttle takes you straight to the 2nd, 4th and 6th rest points.
- Sky Gifts found on the Peak can be sent to a friend.
Destiny Tower
A new post-game dungeon, Destiny Tower is often considered the hardest in the series. Get ready for a real test of endurance.
Legendary Pokémon and the Seven Treasures
The post-game gives access to many legendary Pokémon, at the bottom of dungeons or through special items. Some require you to carry a Secret Slab or a Mystery Part, obtained through special missions with passwords: the Sky codes are on our Connection and Passwords page. Dialga is recruited by returning to Temporal Tower, Palkia on a second visit to the Spatial Rift, and Manaphy appears at Sharpedo Bluff three days after Darkrai’s defeat. Our Time and Darkness legendary Pokémon page gives the full list of these versions, which Sky completes with Shaymin.

The Final Maze
At Marowak Dojo, beating Dialga opens the Final Maze, a 48-floor dungeon. In Time and Darkness, you can recruit Jirachi, Suicune and Moltres there. Items from your bag are not allowed in the dojo mazes.
