For its 30th birthday, Pokémon is treating itself to a big fashion collaboration. The adidas Originals × Pokémon collection has been available since September 22, 2026 on the adidas website and at a selection of retailers, both in stores and online. And this is no small capsule of two pairs: we’re talking about 16 sneaker models centered on nine Pokémon, plus clothing and accessories.
Nine Pokémon in the spotlight
The selection mostly draws on the early days of the franchise: Pikachu, the line of Charmander, Charmeleon and Charizard, the Ghost-type trio Gastly, Haunter and Gengar, Mewtwo, and a single representative from Hoenn, Rayquaza. adidas didn’t just slap on a logo: each pair picks up the colors and details of its Pokémon.
A few models that caught our attention:
- Superstar Charizard: the Pokémon’s wings are reproduced on the sides of the shoe. The Superstar also comes in Charmander, Charmeleon and Pikachu versions.
- Pikachu: in addition to the Superstars, a high-top version in bright yellow, with chenille patches on the heel.
- Mewtwo: three silhouettes in lavender and purple tones, the Samba OG, the Handball Spezial and the ZX 8000.
- Rayquaza: in green, black and yellow on the ZX 500, the Adistar Control 5 and the Megaride F50.
- The Ghost-type trio: Gastly and Haunter on the Adistar range, and an Adistar XLG 2.0 Gengar that shows the Pokémon’s eyes on the upper.
Some pairs come with a small keychain featuring their Pokémon. The Charizard and Pikachu pairs even get a Poké Ball-style box.
Jackets, tracksuits and prices
On the clothing side, the three leather jackets featuring Pikachu, Charizard and Gengar are the most spectacular pieces, with the Pokémon large on the back and Poké Balls on the sleeves. The collection also offers SST tracksuits, including in kids’ sizes.
On adidas’s US website, sneakers start at $110 (Superstar) and go up to around $200 for the more technical models; the jackets are listed at $280. In France, sneaker-focused media report prices of €120 to €160 for most pairs. Check adidas.fr for the specific model, especially since stock goes fast on this kind of collaboration.
Your Pokémon GO avatar gets adidas gear too
The collaboration extends to Pokémon GO. From September 25, 2026 to January 15, 2027, by opening the game inside a participating adidas store, you will unlock a themed Special Research. It grants the avatar items adidas Jacket and Cap, as well as XP, Stardust, a Lucario encounter and Lucario Mega Energy. The tasks can be completed until February 13, 2027.
