Summer 2026 was a busy one for LEGO Pokémon fans. On August 1, the range welcomed fifteen new sets all at once: three display models for adults and twelve interactive SMART Play sets for younger builders. On October 1, the giant Poké Ball and the large-scale Red minifigure rounded out the wave. Prices, piece counts, contents: here is a presentation of every set.
The prices shown are the recommended retail prices in France on LEGO.com. They may vary at other retailers.
Display sets for adults (August 1)
Announced in early July, these three models target collectors (ages 18 and up) and are designed for display.
LEGO Pokémon Munchlax (72150)
The smallest of the three, but not the least endearing. Munchlax sits on a tree stump, surrounded by brick-built treats: an apple, mushrooms and little flowers. Its head and arms are articulated to give it a more or less hungry look. At 13 cm tall, it will easily find its place on a shelf.
- Pieces: 757
- Price: €69.99
- Dimensions: 13 × 10 × 11 cm
- Âge : 18+
LEGO Pokémon Arcanine (72160)
Classified as a “Legendary Pokémon” in the Pokédex, Arcanine gets a fully articulated figure that reproduces its mane, its stripes and its proud stance. At nearly 29 cm long, it’s a fine piece, and one of the best piece-to-price ratios of the wave.
- Pieces: 1,190
- Price: €99.99
- Dimensions: 17 cm tall, 28.6 cm long
- Âge : 18+
LEGO Pokémon Rayquaza (72168)
The most spectacular of the three. Rayquaza coils above a recreation of the Sky Pillar from Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, standing more than 38 cm tall. The set also includes an exclusive minifigure of Zinnia, the Lorekeeper.
- Pieces: 1,083
- Price: €129.99
- Dimensions: 38 × 28 × 27 cm
- Minifigure: Zinnia
- Âge : 18+
SMART Play sets: when Pokémon react (August 1)
This is the big new feature of the summer: twelve sets compatible with the LEGO SMART Play system. The SMART Brick, packed with sensors, reacts to play with lights, sounds and movements, with no screen. You can feed Pikachu, tickle Charizard or heal it after a battle. The SMART Tags tell the brick which Pokémon or which item is in play.
Two types of sets coexist:
- “All-in-One” sets, which contain everything you need: at least one SMART Brick, a charger and SMART Tags;
- compatible sets, which contain tags but no SMART Brick. To get the most out of them, you therefore need to already own a brick, bought with an All-in-One set.
Pikachu’s Training Hut (72164), All-in-One set
The ideal entry point. Pikachu lives in a hut perched in a tree about twenty centimeters tall, with a training dummy, a Poké Ball target, tall grass and even a sandwich to give it. You feed it, play with it, train it and then head off to battle.
- Pieces: 400
- Price: €69.99
- SMART contents: 1 SMART Brick, 1 charger, 4 tags
- Age: 6+
The Ultimate Battle between Charizard and Jolteon (72167), All-in-One set
The flagship set of the range, and the most expensive. It contains two SMART Bricks, enough to pit an 18 cm Charizard against a 13 cm Jolteon. On the menu: tickling (Charizard laughs), healing spray and training sessions. It’s the ideal set for playing with two.
- Pieces: 751
- Price: €119.99
- SMART contents: 2 SMART Bricks, 4 tags
- Age: 8+
Bulbasaur and Bidoof’s Berry Delight (72155)
A set with no battling, focused on care: Bulbasaur and Bidoof share a berry smoothie stand. You prepare the drinks, feed your Pokémon and look after them.
- Pieces: 240
- Price: €19.99
- SMART Tags: 2
- Age: 7+
Squirtle’s Adventure with the Trainer’s Buggy (72156)
Squirtle takes the passenger seat in a beach buggy equipped with “water” projectile launchers. The set also includes a vegetable barbecue that has caught fire, to be put out thanks to Squirtle.
- Pieces: 320
- Price: €29.99
- SMART Tags: 2
- Age: 7+
Charmander and Geodude, the Battle in the Cave (72157)
The smallest battle set: Charmander explores a cave filled with treasures and crystals… until it runs into an unwelcoming Geodude. Perfect as a first set at €19.99.
- Pieces: 198
- Price: €19.99
- SMART Tags: 2
- Age: 6+
Battle between Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly (72158)
The three Paldea starters are brought together in a single set. A wheel you spin picks the opponent, and the clashes rely on the strengths and weaknesses of the Grass, Fire and Water types. It’s a good way to learn types while having fun.
- Pieces: 313
- Price: €34.99
- SMART Tags: 3
- Age: 8+
Jigglypuff’s Concert (72159)
The smallest and cheapest in the range: 88 pieces for a stage with a microphone and speakers. Jigglypuff gives its concert… hoping the audience stays awake.

- SMART Tag: 1
- Age: 7+
Searching for the Mythical Mew by Drone (72161)
Off to the ancient ruins aboard a Poké Ball-inspired drone, in search of the Mythical Pokémon Mew. An exploration set rather than a battle set.

- Price: €49.99
- SMART Tags: 3
- Age: 8+
Eevee and Lapras’s Treasure Hunt (72162)
Eevee climbs onto the back of Lapras, turned into a boat with a retractable mast, to search a shipwreck with the help of a treasure map. It’s one of the most visually successful sets.

- Price: €89.99
- SMART Tags: 4
- Age: 8+
LEGO also announced a small promotional set (40887, 185 pieces) in which Ditto disguises itself as Squirtle for a movie night, offered with qualifying purchases. It includes a SMART Tag to change channels… and make Ditto transform. Keep an eye on the offers on LEGO.com.
Back-to-school bonus: the Poké Ball and the large-scale Red (October 1)
Announced at the same time as the adult sets, these two models only came out on October 1. We’re adding them to complete the wave.
Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball (72154)
The centerpiece of the adult range: a Poké Ball of more than 2,300 pieces that opens and closes. In the top half, Professor Oak’s laboratory; in the bottom half, a battle scene. It contains the minifigures of Red, Professor Oak and a Picnicker, as well as the figures of Pikachu and Eevee.
- Pieces: more than 2,300
- Price: €259.99
- Dimensions: about 22 cm tall
- Âge : 18+
Large-Scale Red Minifigure (40868)
In the vein of the giant minifigures LEGO has already offered for other licenses, here is Red in XXL: red cap, vest, blue pants, backpack and a Poké Ball to hold in either hand. The arms, legs, hands and head are articulated. It is an exclusive of the LEGO store.
- Pieces: 930
- Price: €79.99
- Age: 10+
And in 2027?
The range isn’t going to stop there. During the “LEGO Pokémon: You’re the Trainer Now” presentation at PokémonXP, in late August in San Francisco, LEGO showed five new LEGO Pokémon creatures planned for 2027. Their release details will be announced later. On site, 10,500 fans also built a giant Rayquaza together, more than 7 meters long, with more than 400,000 bricks.
With fifteen sets this summer, two more this fall and five creatures announced for 2027, LEGO Pokémon is well established. And you, which set did you give in to for your collection?
