Halloween is settling into Pokémon Sleep. From Monday, October 26 to Monday, November 2, the “Halloween 2026: Double Candy Dose” event puts Ghost-type Pokémon in the spotlight on Greengrass Isle. Above all, it marks the arrival of two newcomers, Misdreavus and Mismagius, along with an Eevee wearing a brand-new purple hat.

As every year, the main appeal is still collecting candy: it is doubled for five days, then tripled on Halloween and the day after. That’s a chance to level up your favorite helpers with minimal effort, as long as you time your nights well.

Event dates and bonuses

The event and its limited-time missions take place on Greengrass Isle and on its Expert Mode version. Each day of the event starts at 4 a.m., as usual in the game.

  • Period: from Monday, October 26 at 4:00 a.m. to Monday, November 2 at 3:59 a.m.;
  • Candy ×2 on the first sleep research of the day, from October 26 to 30;
  • Candy ×3 on Saturday, October 31 (Halloween) and Sunday, November 1st (last day);
  • Ghost-type helpers bring back 1 extra ingredient on each regular delivery;
  • the chance of their main skill activating is multiplied by 1.25, and its level is increased by 3 when it activates;
  • Snorlax has Bluk Berry (Ghost type) among its favorite berries, the other two being chosen at random. In Expert Mode, the Bluk Berry becomes its main favorite berry of the week;
  • a few Pokémon of other sleep types may appear, regardless of your sleep type of the day.

Note: the candy bonus only applies to the first sleep session of the day, and data recorded before October 26 but viewed later does not benefit from any bonus. Conversely, a night recorded during the event and viewed after it ends keeps its bonuses.

Misdreavus, Mismagius and a bewitched Eevee

Misdreavus and Mismagius make their debut in Pokémon Sleep and get a greatly increased appearance rate during the week, as does Halloween Eevee. The latter, a Normal type, wears a new purple hat. Halloween Pikachu also appears more often, and costumed Pokémon from previous Halloweens may resurface.

The other ghosts aren’t left out: Gastly, Haunter, Gengar, Shuppet, Banette, Drifloon, Drifblim, Pumpkaboo, Gourgeist, Mimikyu and Skeledirge appear a little more often. So remember to put Ghost-type helpers on your team to take full advantage of the ingredient and skill bonuses.

The limited-time missions notably reward an Eevee (Halloween) Incense, usable from October 26 at 3 p.m. to target that Eevee’s sleep styles, as well as a Misdreavus Incense and several batches of Handy Candy S. One small note: Pokémon in Halloween costumes cannot evolve.

Key takeaways

After the event ends, Gengar, Drifblim and Skeledirge will leave the regular searches on Greengrass Isle, while Gastly, Haunter and Gengar will leave its Expert Mode version. They will remain available with their incense until November 9 at 3:59 a.m. Costumed Pokémon will also disappear from the usual searches, but may return in a future event.

The end of October calendar is busy: the event overlaps with Good Sleep Day with Mew, from October 25 to 28. When two events grant the same type of bonus, the higher one applies. If you’re just starting out, our beginner’s guide to Pokémon Sleep will help you get the most out of this week.
