In Pokémon Champions, ranked battles and competitions follow a regulation. It defines the allowed Pokémon and a few battle parameters. A new regulation arrives regularly to refresh the meta, usually alongside a game update.

The official principle: a regulation covers several seasons, and new Pokémon can arrive with each regulation.

The Three Regulations

  1. Regulation M-A

The launch regulation. Mega Evolution is allowed from day one.

  2. Regulation M-B

Update 1.1 and mobile release: new Pokémon and held items.

  3. Regulation M-C

Update 1.2: 24 Pokémon added and six Mega Evolutions, including the three Mega Z.

Regulation M-C in Detail

Regulation M-C replaces M-B as the official format for ranked battles and competitions. It adds 24 Pokémon without removing those from previous regulations, and six new Mega Evolutions: Mega Lucario Z, Mega Garchomp Z, Mega Absol Z, Mega Salamence, Mega Golisopod and Mega Baxcalibur.

Among the newcomers: Baxcalibur, the Galar starters (Rillaboom, Cinderace, Inteleon), Salamence, Golisopod, Sirfetch’d, Toxtricity, Pawmot, Mabosstiff, Arboliva and Indeedee.

What After M-C?

Regulation M-C ends on December 2, 2026. The next regulation has not been detailed yet, but The Pokémon Company has confirmed the upcoming arrival of Heatran. We will update this guide as soon as the official announcement is made.
