The region

An open-world archipelago

The new region does not have an official name yet. Game Freak describes it as a set of islands swept by winds and cradled by waves, where the vegetation is lush and every Pokémon lives in harmony with its environment.

After Scarlet and Violet, the series stays true to the open world, this time on the scale of an archipelago. The official site invites players to “brave the elements”: wind and sea should shape exploration.
