Ranked Battles are the competitive mode of Pokémon UNITE. You face players of your own level, climb from rank to rank as you win, and each season ends with rewards depending on the rank you reached.
Requirements
- Trainer Level
- 6
- Unite Licenses
- at least 5 licenses owned
- Sportsmanship
- at least 80 points
- Stadium
- Theia Sky Ruins, 5v5
- Pokémon
- only those whose license you own
Ranks
You start at the lowest rank and move up rank by rank as you win, all the way to the Master rank, where a points-based ladder separates the best players. Losses push you back down, but performance points, earned by playing well even in a loss, can prevent a demotion.
Since December 2025, progression has been based on a points system rather than the old crystals.
Seasons
The ladder is reset with each new series. At the end of a series, you receive rewards, notably Aeos Tickets, more generous the higher your rank.Sportsmanship
Each player has Sportsmanship points, out of 100. Cancelling a search, going AFK or stalling loses points; playing normally earns them back, up to 5 points per day.| Points | Consequence |
|---|---|
| 90 to 100 | Sportsmanship rewards available (Aeos Tickets every day) |
| 80 to 89 | No Sportsmanship rewards |
| 60 to 79 | Ranked Battles unavailable |
| 0 to 59 | Quick Battles in random mode unavailable |

Preparing well for Ranked Battles
- Master two or three Pokémon in different roles: you will be able to adapt to your team’s picks.
- Upgrade their held items first: a max-level item makes a real difference.
- Play in a group with friends: coordination is worth more than individual level.
- Don’t play tired: a losing streak costs more than a few fewer matches.
