The lessons in Pokémon Art Academy form a progressive path, from a simple outline to a painted drawing. Each course ends with an assessment. Here is the full curriculum, based on Poképédia, with our detailed guides for each course.
Arrival and the starting assessment
You choose your first name and your drawing hand, then Professor Andy hands you your student card. The starting assessment has you draw the head of Froakie, Pikachu or Piplup, your choice, in pastel. See arriving at the Academy.

The eight rules of Pokémon drawing
The game illustrates its eight rules of Pokémon drawing with official Pokémon TCG cards, such as the Togepi from Plasma Storm, the Voltorb and the Fletchling from the XY series, the Jirachi from Rising Rivals or a Lucario card: a fine tribute to card illustrators.
The other modes
Quick Draw asks you to reproduce a drawing as fast as possible, with a single tool. Free Draw brings together all the tools, the unlocked models and your photos, with a color wheel to create your own colors. The bonus lessons unlock the models of Raichu, Wooper and Smeargle there.
