The 107 Wisps of Pokémon Legends: Arceus are the souls that the Pokémon Spiritomb once held captive. They float all over the Hisui region, and are easier to see at nightfall. Collecting them is part of request no. 22, “Strange Nighttime Apparitions”, given by a villager near the Pasture of Jubilife Village, and leads to the capture of Spiritomb. Our older article Location of the 107 Wisps gave an overview; this page lists precisely how many wisps are hidden in each place, area by area.

How it works

The request unlocks after you soothe the Forest’s noble Pokémon, Kleavor (mission 7). The villager asks you to gather Hisui’s wisps to seal away the spirit that spread terror across the region. The wisps are usually easy to spot, especially at night, but some hide in unusual places, even out at sea off the Cobalt Coastlands. Reporting back regularly gives you rewards at each milestone:

Wisps gatheredReward
5Oval Stone
10Rare Candy
20Mastery Seed
30Dusk Stone
40Exp. Candy L
50Linking Cord
605 Grit Pebbles
70Reaper Cloth
803 Mastery Seeds
902 Exp. Candies XL
1003 Grit Rocks

When all 107 wisps are gathered, return to the Shrouded Ruins in the Crimson Mirelands at night. A young girl is waiting for you there: she holds the last flame and asks you to gather the 108 souls in the monument. As you approach, Spiritomb appears: it is level 60. The request also rewards you with 3 Twice-Spiced Bites.

Collecting tips

  • Time passes much faster than in real life (a day in the game lasts 24 minutes) and you only need to rest at a camp to skip to night: take advantage of it to hunt wisps when they are most visible.
  • Go around an area sub-area by sub-area and check off every spot in the tables below; the wisps are spread very evenly, 20 per major area.
  • Also visit Jubilife Village: seven wisps are hidden in the village and on First Steps Beach.

Where the wisps are

The following tables give the number of wisps at each spot. There are 7 in Jubilife Village and its immediate surroundings, then 20 in each of the five major areas, for 107 in total.

After Spiritomb

Once Spiritomb is caught, it returns to the Shrouded Ruins at night, with a very low probability. This lets you catch more of them, including Alpha or shiny ones. After update 1.1.0, it can also appear during Massive Mass Outbreaks: see mass outbreaks and Massive Mass Outbreaks.
