The Hisui Pokédex is the first Pokédex in the history of the series, the one you fill in for Professor Laventon. It has 242 entries, numbered from 001 (Rowlet) to 242 (Darkrai). To complete it in the game’s sense, 238 pages are enough: Phione, Manaphy, Shaymin and Darkrai do not need to be registered, but Arceus must be. As in the rest of the guide, we use the official English names. This page presents the Pokédex as a whole; the five table pages give, for each Pokémon, its types, its catch locations and its encounter conditions.
The five sections of the Pokédex
- Hisui Pokédex No. 001 to 050: from Rowlet to Wyrdeer.
- Hisui Pokédex No. 051 to 100: from Munchlax to Toxicroak.
- Hisui Pokédex No. 101 to 150: from Ralts to Hisuian Growlithe.
- Hisui Pokédex No. 151 to 200: from Hisuian Arcanine to Clefairy.
- Hisui Pokédex No. 201 to 242: from Clefable to Darkrai.
Each row of the table lists the sub-areas where the Pokémon appears in the wild (for example Horseshoe Plains, Veilstone Cape or Avalugg’s Legacy), the Mass Outbreaks and Massive Mass Outbreaks that involve it, the space-time distortions where it shows up, any fixed Alpha Pokémon and its evolution link. If your question is about a single species, you will also find its detailed page in the site’s main Pokédex.
How to read the Hisui Pokédex
A Hisui number is specific to this game: for example, Rowlet is No. 001 in Hisui and No. 722 in the National Pokédex. The tables therefore give two numbers, and the place names are given in English. A few pointers:
- The starters: the three starting Pokémon are gifts from Professor Laventon, and their evolutions only appear in the wild in the space-time distortions after the credits.
- Rare Pokémon: more than a hundred Pokémon live in several areas, but some can only be found in one corner of the map; appearance may depend on the time of day or the weather.
- Evolutions: 0 Pokémon in the Pokédex can only be encountered through evolution; the others can also be caught.
- Legendary and Mythical Pokémon: they appear through specific missions, detailed in the legendary Pokémon and the plates and the Mythical Pokémon and the Forces of Nature.
The new Pokémon: seven additions
Seven brand-new species are born in Pokémon Legends: Arceus: Wyrdeer, Kleavor, Ursaluna, Basculegion, Sneasler, Overqwil and Enamorus. Six of them are evolutions of known Pokémon, which is rare; their form is described in Hisuian forms and their conditions in Hisui’s evolutions.

Hisuian forms
Sixteen Pokémon have a form specific to Hisui. Several are Pokémon that predate Sinnoh, with forms resulting from the harshness of the climate.

Pokémon by area
Here is how many species of the Hisui Pokédex can be encountered in each major area, by all means combined (wild, Mass Outbreak, Massive Mass Outbreak, space-time distortion):
| Area | Species (all means) | Wild species at a fixed location |
|---|---|---|
| Obsidian Fieldlands | 91 | 68 |
| Crimson Mirelands | 96 | 65 |
| Cobalt Coastlands | 98 | 70 |
| Coronet Highlands | 110 | 80 |
| Alabaster Icelands | 93 | 68 |
Each area has its own page, with the camps, the items, the Pokémon that live there, the Alpha Pokémon and the unique encounters: the Obsidian Fieldlands, the Crimson Mirelands, the Cobalt Coastlands, the Coronet Highlands and the Alabaster Icelands.
