Not in the mood to face other players? Solo battles pit your decks against the computer, expansion by expansion. They earn you Shop Tickets and experience, and they are the best proving ground for a new deck.
Tiered battles
Each expansion offers a series of battles against decks built with its cards, split into four difficulty levels. The higher the level, the more polished the opposing decks and the better the rewards.| Tier | Who it's for | What you win |
|---|---|---|
| Beginner | From day one | Shop Tickets, experience, simple accessories |
| Intermediate | With a first deck built | More tickets and items |
| Advanced | With a complete deck from a recent expansion | More generous rewards |
| Expert | For experienced players | The best rewards in solo mode |
Every successful battle also completes missions specific to solo mode: win with a certain Pokémon, win all the battles of a tier… Be sure to check them before starting a series.
An update announced for late October 2026 overhauls tiered battles. The rewards and levels described here may therefore change.
Themed decks and rental decks
By completing certain missions, often tied to obtaining the featured card, you unlock themed decks: the exact list of a deck to rebuild with your own cards. A matching rental deck lets you play it before you own the cards.Making the most of solo mode
- Start with the Beginner tiers of every expansion: they are quick and rewarding for your first Shop Tickets.
- Test every new deck against the computer before taking it into Ranked Matches.
- Aim for the Expert tier once your deck is well tuned: it trains you to face complete decks.
- Come back with every expansion: new battles and new missions are added with each release.
