Pokémon France followed Super Mystery Dungeon from its Japanese announcement in May 2015 to its European release in February 2016. We then devoted a complete walkthrough and about fifteen guides to it. This page presents and links our archives.
The announcement and first images (spring 2015)
Ten days after the announcement, we published the first trailer, shown during a Nintendo Direct. Next came the return of the personality quiz, Hoopa in CoroCoro, new official screenshots and the gameplay shown at E3.
Summer 2015
News followed one after another ahead of the Japanese release: new images in July, Zygarde and PMDM in CoroCoro, then new info in August. We also announced the North American release date and a new video.
The European release (2016)
In November 2015, a Nintendo Direct confirmed the game’s arrival in Europe. It came out on 19 February 2016: our release news.
The section
Our complete walkthrough covers the 25 steps of the story, summarized in our table of contents. The reference guides from the time are still online:
- Starter Pokémon and Gameplay Changes;
- Connection Orb, Moving Up in Rank, Traveling Pokémon and Catching Pokémon Forms;
- Evolution, Looplets and The Six Continents and the Sea;
- Legendary Pokémon and Hoopa and the Magic Lamp;
- Pelipper Island, Meowth Theater, Jukebox and the image gallery.
Some of these guides were written from the Japanese version. Their place and item names may differ from the final French version.
