In Pokémon Pokopia, each area progresses thanks to a gauge: its Environment Level. It depends on the Comfy Level of every Pokémon living there, and it is what unlocks challenges, shop items and the rest of the adventure. This guide explains how these two mechanics work, how to raise them quickly, and how to make the most of the daily bonuses from
Mosslax.

Comfy Level and Environment Level: the basics
The two concepts are linked. The Comfy Level measures how satisfied a Pokémon is in its habitat or house. An area’s Environment Level comes from the sum of the Comfy Level of all the Pokémon living there. When it passes a certain threshold, the area levels up.
| Concept | What it measures | How to check it |
|---|---|---|
| Comfy Level | A Pokémon’s satisfaction in its living space, on 5 levels, from “passable” to “exceptional” | By talking to the Pokémon or via the Poké Life PC |
| Environment Level | An area’s level, from 1 to 10, fed by the Comfy Level of its residents | In the area’s PC |
A Pokémon without a habitat or house counts for nothing: its Comfy Level is considered to be zero. First of all, every Pokémon must therefore have a place to live, even a simple hut.
Raising your Pokémon’s Comfy Level
1. Respect its preferred environment
This is the most powerful lever. Each Pokémon likes one of these six environments:
| Environment | What it needs |
|---|---|
| Warm | A heat source nearby, such as a fire |
| Cool | No heat source |
| Bright | Light, from a fire or an electrical appliance |
| Dark | No light source: a cave or a habitat covered by a roof |
| Humid | Water and plants |
| Dry | Neither water nor plants (grass does not count as a plant) |
When a Pokémon lives in a house, it is the inside that counts, not the outside. Pokémon that like it cool, dark or dry are therefore easier to house indoors than those that prefer warm, bright or humid conditions. You can also group Pokémon that share the same tastes to simplify the layout.
2. Furnish the habitat
Three kinds of furniture affect the Comfy Level:
- Rest: something to sit or sleep on, such as a chair or a bed. Big Pokémon need furniture their size.
- Fun: toys and entertainment items.
- Decoration: certain plants, decorative items and lost items.
To aim for the “exceptional” level, provide at least one piece of furniture of each kind. Each Pokémon also has thematic preferences, visible on its Pokédex page: a Rock-type Pokémon, for example, will appreciate stone items more than wooden ones.

3. Food, house and attention
- Food: a source nearby, such as a Berry tree, or dishes given according to the Pokémon’s tastes.
- A house: the Comfy Level rises more easily in a building than in a simple habitat. Build as many houses as possible.
- Its wishes: when you talk to it, a Pokémon often voices a specific wish (a dish, a decoration). Fulfilling it raises its Comfy Level.
- Interactions: chatting when it calls out to you, giving it a gift or playing mini-games, ideally every day.
- The path: a comfortable route between its habitat and the Pokémon Center also counts. Avoid arid tiles (sand, dry earth) and jumps by placing stairs and watering the ground.
Conversely, placing items a Pokémon dislikes near its habitat lowers its Comfy Level.
Raising the Environment Level
Each area has its own level, from 1 to 10. Each tier unlocks new challenges in the Poké Life PC, which earn coins, as well as new items and methods in the shop. Levels 5 and 10 also give a special gift. In the shop, for example, Pokémetal arrives at level 6 and rare Pokémetal at level 7, in Withered Wastelands as well as in Bleak Beach.
The most effective levers:
- Complete all the Requests from the area’s Pokémon, including major milestones such as rebuilding the Pokémon Center.
- Create as many habitats as possible and attract new Pokémon to them. A given species can only live there as a single individual.
- Build buildings and kits, even when no Pokémon lives in them yet. Big projects (houses, statues…) are particularly rewarding.
- Take care of each area’s theme: humidity in Withered Wastelands, which
Slowpoke asks for; the party atmosphere in Rocky Ridges; lighting in Bleak Beach… - Welcome a Legendary Pokémon: their Comfy Level weighs more than that of other Pokémon.
Be careful: removing Pokémon from an area lowers its score. If the level drops back, the shop items and challenges of that tier are locked again. You also need to reach level 5 in every area to access the end of the story.

Mosslax and its daily bonuses
Ronflex Moussu, covered in moss and topped with a flower, sleeps soundly in a cave in Bleak Beach, where you will also meet
Peakychu. Waking it up is the goal of the area’s big Request, “Get Up in There”: you must complete the residents’ Requests and light up the entire area, including the lighthouse, street lamps and vending machines, until the gauge reaches 100. Once the Bleak Beach story is finished, you can rebuild its habitat, the Gluttonous Offering Altar, by placing a dish in front of it.
Its unique specialty, Eat, works like this: place food on the plate in front of it and it grants you a bonus for the whole in-game day, which ends at 5 a.m. The offering cannot be taken back, and only one bonus is active at a time. The effect depends on the dominant flavor:
| Offering’s flavor | Bonus granted |
|---|---|
| No dominant flavor | Friendship with Pokémon grows faster |
| Sour | Better deals when trading and in the shop, with a discount |
| Dry | Ho-Oh and Lugia show up more often (and so do their feathers) |
| Bitter | More rare items |
| Spicy | Pokémon appear more often in habitats |
| Sweet | More buried treasure |
The strength of the bonus depends on what you offer:
| Offering | Bonus strength |
|---|---|
| Raw ingredient (Berry, vegetable, drink) | Normal |
| “Simple” dish (simple salad, soup, bread or Precooked Burger) | Strong |
| More elaborate dishes | Very strong |

Tips for fast progress
- House every new Pokémon immediately, even temporarily: without a place to live, it contributes nothing to the area.
- Aim for three pieces of furniture per habitat (rest, fun, decoration) and respect the Pokémon’s preferred environment.
- Check in on your Pokémon every day: a conversation, a gift or a wish fulfilled all add up quickly.
- Start big building projects before going to bed: they finish overnight and push the gauge up.
- Keep Berries of every flavor on hand so you can choose each day the Mosslax bonus you need, and cook elaborate dishes for maximum effect.
- Offer a spicy dish to Mosslax before a session devoted to habitats: new Pokémon will arrive more often.
