Urbain/Taunie and you have reached Rank A. That night, Prism Tower lights up and menacing clouds gather in the sky: the machine hidden beneath the tower is about to awaken. This is the climax of the main story, with the most spectacular battle in the game. This chapter inevitably contains spoilers: the biggest ones are hidden.

Mission 36: a tower out of control
A tremor wakes you up. Leave your room and join the others at the foot of Prism Tower. To decide who will try to stop the machine, Urbain/Taunie offers you one last battle: it is also your match for Rank A.
Whatever the result, Urbain/Taunie decides to go there in person with AZ’s Floette, while you protect the city. Talk to Vinnie about this final mission for Team MZ, then come down from the roof to assess the situation.
🙈 What happens at the top of the tower
Urbain/Taunie has Floette Mega Evolve and tries to shut the machine down from its control panel. But the Angel absorbs Mega Floette’s energy and transforms into the Supreme Rogue Floette Angel. Its energy destroys part of the tower, makes flowers and roots grow all over the city and forces the Pokémon in the area to Mega Evolve against their will.
Mission 37: Operation Save Lumiose
Vinnie calls in every high-ranking Trainer you have faced as reinforcements. You must reach Zygarde, who is waiting for you on the rooftops. Each ally escorts you along part of the route and helps you calm the hordes of Mega Evolved Pokémon:
- Meet up with Nivis at the first rendezvous point and move forward with him.
- Find Narica, then get through the obstacle course that Taragon built for you (platforms and jumps).
- Join Violine and Delphie: the president shuts the hordes in with her inside a “Violine zone” to let you through.
- Find Corvault: with Gypso and his men, he forms a human ladder. Climb it to reach the rooftops.
- Cross the rooftops to your destination, with Zygarde at your side.
The battle against the Angel
The final battle takes place in three phases. The Angel targets you first, not your Pokémon: use the tower’s debris as cover.
- Send your Pokémon to attack the two eternal flowers, the blue one and the red one. They defend themselves with a whip-like strike up close, volleys of projectiles, a shock wave, a long beam of light, a toxic aura and electrified zones (spotted by the purple sparks that precede them).
- Once both flowers are destroyed, Zygarde steps in: choose one of its three attacks (Thousand Arrows, Land’s Wrath or Thousand Waves). They all deal massive damage and trigger the next phase.
- From the second phase on, the Angel fires beams of Light of Ruin across the whole arena: run for cover under the barrier that Zygarde creates.
- In the third phase, destroy the flowers again: Zygarde’s Core Enforcer becomes available and ends the battle.
🙈 The final shot (spoiler)
Neutralized, the Angel fires one last beam of Light of Ruin into the sky. The pebble Zygarde had entrusted to you then turns into Zygardite: Zygarde, now in its Complete Forme thanks to the cells and cores L brought, Mega Evolves and counters the beam with an overpowered version of Core Enforcer. The Angel destroys itself and frees Urbain/Taunie and Floette.
Mission 38: the future of Lumiose
With calm restored, Urbain/Taunie finds you at the front desk. Quasartico Inc.’s promise still stands: Rank A Trainers can make a wish. Join Vinnie and Jett in Centrico Plaza to make yours. Then the credits roll.
🙈 After the credits (spoiler)
AZ passes away peacefully soon after. Team MZ pays tribute to him at his grave, and his will leaves the hotel to the team. In your room, number 202, he left you a Poké Ball: his Lucario (level 50), which Korrina had entrusted to him long ago.
The adventure continues: Z-A Royale becomes Z-A Royale ∞, two legendary Pokémon from Kalos are approaching Lumiose and Zygarde isn’t done yet. Continue in chapter 15.
