A few days after the Angel’s fall, a young pastry chef and her Hoopa land on the roof of Hotel Z. Their Donuts open portals to Hyperspace Lumiose, a reflection city born from its inhabitants’ dreams and populated by Pokémon of level 100 and above. Welcome to the Mega Dimension expansion.

How to start the expansion
Mega Dimension is played on your existing save file: no need to start a new game. Once the main story is finished (mission 38) and the expansion is downloaded, head to the roof of Hotel Z. There you meet Anya and her mythical Pokémon, Hoopa.
Anya
A young girl passionate about pastry. She is looking for a legendary Pokémon glimpsed in another dimension, to give to her mother.
Hoopa
Its rings open portals to other dimensions… as long as it has eaten a good Donut.
Korrina
The heir to Mega Evolution and Gym Leader of Shalour City, called in by Quasartico and the Bruiser Clan to investigate.
Anya wants to make Donuts for Hoopa, but she is missing some butter: Urbain/Taunie and you go to find some in town. Once the Donut is made, Anya dashes off to the Seasons Canal. As it eats it, Hoopa opens a portal… and the girl dives in. Follow her to bring her back, then listen to her story.
Extradimensional Mission 1: Research No. 1
At the Bruiser Clan headquarters, Corvault explains the situation: extradimensional rifts are opening all over Lumiose and a gigantic rift is growing above the ruined tower. The Clan and Quasartico entrust the investigation to you, and Anya joins Team MZ to feed Hoopa.
- Prepare Donuts with Anya, at Hotel Z, then enter the rifts marked on the map. Complete the research missions offered there to accumulate 7,000 extradimensional research points.
- Go back to the Bruiser Agency to find out the analysis results. Korrina is waiting for you there and wants to test you: beat her using Mega Evolution.
- With extradimensional Berries, prepare a high-rank Donut, then enter the most dangerous rift: an Absol there is showing signs of Rogue Mega Evolution.
Mega Absol Z
You fight alongside Urbain/Taunie and Korrina. Like its counterpart in the base game, Mega Absol Z is rather passive: it lowers your Pokémon’s Sp. Atk with Snarl and strikes from afar with Shadow Sneak. Its charged attack chains several very fast Shadow Claws toward you: dodge by zigzagging.
Z Mega Evolution makes it Dark and Ghost: it only fears Fairy. Mega Floette, Mega Clefable and Mega Gardevoir are perfect.
Reward: Absolite Z
Once Absol has calmed down, catch it, then hit the Bonus Ball that appears with a move to collect its rewards.
Extradimensional Mission 2: Delphie flies off the handle!
One morning, the door of Hotel Z bursts open: Delphie storms in, furious, accompanied by Albia. To calm her down, nothing beats a battle in the hotel courtyard, against the two of them.
