The 20 Wild Zones of Legends Z-A: Pokémon, Alpha Pokémon and Items

In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, wild Pokémon don’t live on routes but in Wild Zones: enclosures marked off by green holographic barriers, set up by Quasartico Inc. all over Lumiose City. There are twenty of them, opening up as the story progresses. Here, for each one, are the Pokémon (with their levels and those of the Alpha Pokémon), the fixed Alpha Pokémon, special encounters and items.

How it works

1. Each zone has its own biomes (tall grass, canal, snow, cemetery, rooftops…) and therefore its own species. Some only appear by day or only by night.
2. Fixed Alpha Pokémon always appear in the same spot. Once defeated or caught, they return if you move away for a few minutes.
3. Once a zone’s study is complete (Mable’s research), random Alpha Pokémon can appear among ordinary Pokémon, about ten levels higher.
4. The levels listed as “Alpha” correspond to these giant specimens, which are stronger and more aggressive.
