Rogue Mega Evolution Pokémon are the bosses of Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Under the effect of the energy released by the Prism Tower, they have Mega Evolved without a Trainer and are rampaging through the city. Sixteen battles in the main story, seven more (and a few extras) in the Mega Dimension expansion: here is how to win them all.

The rules of a Rogue Mega battle

  1. The Rogue Mega Evolution Pokémon is giant, it targets your hero as much as your Pokémon, and your hero can be knocked out (the battle then restarts).
  2. Its basic attacks alternate with charged attacks that cover a large part of the arena: when it starts to glow, get ready to dodge.
  3. Ordinary moves deal little damage to it. Plus moves and the attacks of a Mega Evolved Pokémon are much more effective.
  4. A Rogue Mega Evolution Pokémon ignores the immunities of your Pokémon: a Flying-type Pokémon will still take its Ground attacks.
  5. Victory earns you its Mega Stone (and, in the expansion, the Pokémon itself).

Mega Zeraora moves very fast and weaves Electroweb across the arena. Its charged attack is a Plasma Fists: three throws in different directions, then, below half of its HP, zigzagging trajectories and others that swirl around. It is only weak to Ground.
