The main story is over, but four main missions and a good chunk of the game’s content remain: the Z-A Royale ∞, Wild Zone 20 at the foot of the Watchtower Ruins, the capture of Xerneas and Yveltal, and one last showdown with Zygarde. This is also when the Mega Dimension expansion opens up.

Mission 39: The Z-A Royale ∞

At A.Z.’s request, the tournament carries on in a new form. In the Z-A Royale ∞, everyone is Rank ∞ and three battle zones light up each night instead of one. Once you have a challenge ticket, talk to a Quasartico Inc. employee to play an ∞ match. The first twenty opponents are set in advance; after that, they are drawn at random and get stronger and stronger.

  1. Take part in a first Z-A Royale ∞ session.
  2. Go back to Hotel Z: Rudi has something to tell you.
  3. Keep chaining ∞ matches, then head to Quasartico Inc. when the mission calls you there.
  4. In the 15th ∞ match, your opponent is Urbain/Taunie, with Floette on the team.
🙈 Why Urbain/Taunie gives you Floette (reveal)

Emma and Jett reveal that the president of Quasartico is Urbain/Taunie’s grandmother: she recognized them by their jacket, a gift from their mother. Jett resigns after the tower is destroyed and names Urbain/Taunie as her successor at the head of Quasartico. With no time left to battle, they entrust Floette to you.

Mission 40: The One Who Gives

L warned you: two legendary Pokémon are approaching Lumiose City, perhaps drawn by the tower incident. The first, “the one who gives,” interests Mable. She detects energy spikes in three Wild Zones, where abnormal Alpha Pokémon at Lv. 70 appear.

Defeat or capture all three, then go back to see Mable: Xerneas has been spotted in Wild Zone 11, along the Seasons Canal. It is waiting for you on the north side.

  • XerneasNo. 75Fairy

Fairy. It is weak to Poison and Steel. Save before the battle and bring Ultra Balls: weaken it, put it to sleep if possible, then throw your Balls, preferably by surprise.

Mission 41: The One Who Takes

“The one who takes” is Yveltal. Cendro and Vinnie are waiting for you at Quasartico Inc., where a simulator recreates the battles against the Rogue Mega Evolution Pokémon. Defeat the three simulations on offer (Mega Victreebel, Mega Hawlucha and Mega Tyranitar, stronger than they were back then), then climb onto the roof of the Moonlight Gallery in Rouge Sector.

Our strategy

The strongest team in the story, at Lv. 78-80: Pyroar, Florges, Sableye, Noivern, Garbodor and their ace, Gyarados (Lv. 80, Water and Flying, four times weak to Electric). Sableye is only weak to Fairy, Noivern four times to Ice, Garbodor to Ground and Psychic. A well-trained Electric-type, Ice-type and Fairy-type Pokémon make the difference. Aim for at least Lv. 75.

Zygarde then reappears and draws you to the foot of the Prism Tower, in the heart of Wild Zone 20, for a battle in the style of the Rogue Mega Evolution fights.

Weaknesses
×4Ice×2DragonFairy×0Electric

The battle takes place in three phases. 10% Forme Zygarde sticks to ordinary attacks. Once defeated, it switches to 50% Forme and strikes the field with a series of Land’s Wrath. Then comes the Complete Forme, which targets you first and foremost: Thousand Arrows, Land’s Wrath, and a gigantic Core Enforcer that covers almost the whole field, except for small Z-shaped gaps. Spot them and slip inside.

A Dragon and Ground type, it is four times weak to Ice, and also weak to Dragon and Fairy. Throw your Ball at the end of the battle.
