To fund a promotional video for Hotel Z, Urbain/Taunie borrowed money from the Bruiser Clan… without reading the fine print of the contract. The boss, Corvault, wants what he’s owed. To keep his clan from squatting in the hotel, Team MZ will have to work for him, in between Rogue Mega Evolution missions.

Mission 20: The Bruiser Clan’s Request
Meet Rudi at the Bruiser Agency, in Cyan Sector 4. Guards block your way, then the colossus Gypso, the boss’s right-hand man, tests you in person.
The boss, Corvault, then receives you in his office. Urbain/Taunie’s loan came to ₽100,000… but the interest, written in tiny print, has reached astronomical heights. Deal done: Team MZ will do favors for the Clan until the debt is wiped out. Go back to Hotel Z to recount the meeting, then attend the strategy meeting: three new Rogue Mega Evolution Pokémon await you.
Mission 21: Rogue Mega Mawile
In Magenta Sector 6.

Mega Mawile
Mega Mawile is a physical attacker that sticks to you like glue: Play Rough and Crunch up close, and it doesn’t hesitate to chase you rather than your Pokémon. Its charged attack: it jumps out of the arena, concentrates, then bombards the field with energy spheres that explode on impact. Spot the impact zones and slip between them.
A Steel and Fairy type, it is weak only to Fire and Ground. Poison and Dragon barely affect it.
Reward: Mawilite
Mission 22: Rogue Mega Barbaracle
In Cyan Sector 5.

Mega Barbaracle
Mega Barbaracle fires Rock Slides from a distance, then closes in with Power-Up Punch, which raises its Attack with every hit: don’t let it chain them. It also calls in Binacle as reinforcements. Its charged attack makes it leap to you for a flurry of Close Combat, followed by an energy beam: when it jumps, sprint to the side.
Its Mega Evolution makes it Rock and Fighting: it is weak to Water, Grass, Ground, Fighting, Steel, Psychic and Fairy. There’s no shortage of options.
Reward: Barbaracite
Mission 23: Rogue Mega Ampharos
In Rouge Sector 6.

Mega Ampharos
Mega Ampharos attacks from a distance with Dragon Pulse then charges into melee with Breaking Swipe. Its charged attack is a massive Discharge around it, which then leaves electric puddles on the ground for a few seconds: they hurt and paralyze. Move away as soon as it charges and don’t step back onto the puddles.
An Electric and Dragon type, it is weak to Ice, Ground, Dragon and Fairy. A Ground-type Pokémon also shrugs off its Electric attacks.
Reward: Ampharosite
The Clan’s Community Service
Once the three Rogue Mega Evolution Pokémon have been calmed and you’ve filed your report at Hotel Z, Corvault starts handing you his requests. They look less like extortion than public-service work:
- A band of “rascals” is causing chaos in an office building: drive out all the Pokémon occupying it, then go back to the client.
- Clean up the sewers: destroy all the Mega Crystals clogging them, then report to the Clan member waiting for you.
- Settle a dispute: members of FRIM are bothering children. Defeat them.
- Accompany Corvault to the Bank of Kalos: an angry crowd accuses Jett, the president of Quasartico, of attracting wild Pokémon into the city. Corvault disperses the protesters.
- Return to Hotel Z, then meet Corvault at his agency: he has news for you.
The debt is paid… and Corvault turns out to be your next opponent in a qualifying match. Continued in chapter 9.
