Rank B: Violine's Grand Games and Zygarde's Sudden Arrival

Back at Le Crésus, where all the participants have been shut inside another “Violine zone”. The tournament can finally begin: three rematches against old acquaintances, a final against Violine… and a guest nobody expected. This chapter ends with a summons to Quasartico Inc.

The final… interrupted

Just as you are about to face Violine, a man in a long coat bursts in with a green and black Pokémon, much bigger than the one that guided you to Absol: Zygarde, in its 50% Forme. The stranger, who calls himself L, wants to put you to the test. Violine, delighted by the show, lets you take on the legendary Pokémon.

🙈 Who is L? (spoiler)

Narica, Corvault and Violine all recognize the man: he is Lysandre, the former leader of Team Flare, missing since the events of Pokémon X and Y.

The battle plays out like a Rogue Mega battle: Zygarde targets you as much as your Pokémon and chains powerful Ground-type moves across the arena. Keep moving, never stay in its line of fire, and save your Mega Evolution for the second half of the fight.

As a Dragon- and Ground-type, it is 4× weak to Ice, and also weak to Dragon and Fairy. A well-trained Ice-type Pokémon cuts the fight short.

Once Zygarde and L have left, Violine can finally play her qualifying match, much to her delight.

Mission 31: Vinnie’s Summons

Vinnie is waiting for you at Quasartico Inc.. The president, Jett, wants to speak with you in person about the origin of Rogue Mega Evolution and the future of the city. Back at Hotel Z, the strategy meeting points to the last wave of Rogue Mega Evolution Pokémon in the story: Dragonite, Tyranitar and Starmie.
